SCORESTORYBOOK AND INFOREGISTER

ScoreStorybook is a development based on Estonia’s first search and information platform Inforegister.ee

ScoreStorybook is a web environment generating stories about Estonian companies and entrepreneurs using the databases created in the course of developing Inforegister and an API based on these.

Inforegister and ScoreStorybook compile their reports of information from public databases and the web, presenting information in an unambiguous and logically structured manner. In addition to loading data from sources and processing it and the databases used to store it, the necessary data management tools have also been created. Owing to years of experience developing Inforegister and API integration, we were in a unique position to take up these development tasks without delay.

Visitor Management Systems

The Visitor Management System enables the convenient and secure registration of visitors through a self-service kiosk or through the administrator view, thus reducing administrative burden. Visitor registrations are automatically reported by email or SMS to the inviter. The solution allows for visitor reports that facilitate visitation searches and analyses.

MEETING ROOM ADMINISTRATION SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

Roombooking is the perfect complete solution for managing and booking conference rooms and welcoming visitors. Our touchscreens provide an overview of all the company’s conference rooms and allow you to search for rooms according to specific criteria: seating capacity, technical options and any other parameter entered into the system.
RoomBooking is an integrated solution that offers a real-time overview of availability and upcoming bookings for all the conference rooms in the system. Consequently, situations where two meetings are simultaneously vying for the same conference room are avoided. The availability of rooms can be checked using the small tablet in each room, the large general screen or billboard that is also touch sensitive as well as from a personal computer or mobile telephone.

SCREEN MANAGEMENT SOLUTION INTEGRATION

We prepared monitoring software for the central administration and status management of information screens at Tallinna Kaubamaja group and Selver according to the customer’s special requirements. The solution manages over 300 screens.

The software controls the automatic switching on and off of the screens, forwards an image of the screen view and filters out malfunctioning screens. The software makes it possible, for example, to switch the screens on and off, adjust audio volume, switch input, and lock the screens. Users of the monitoring environment and the automatic switching on and off of the screens are integrated with the Navor content management software.

The second part of the solution is an integration to facilitate managing the content of scales screens and checkout screens (to display information / advertisements) through the Navor content management software.

The software allows the content of information screens and the checkout and scales screens to be managed centrally.

TIME TRACKING SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

The time tracking project delivered a solution that saves time when managing working time records. Before the solution was implemented, employees informed the production manager every day of how much time they spent on each project, and the production manager spent time entering the data manually in an Excel worksheet. With the time tracking solution, employees authenticate themselves on a screen with their access cards and enter the hours spent on projects; an Excel report can be printed out later. All data from the users is automatically imported from the Inner Range Integrit access control system.

Development adoption

Although taking over projects started by previous teams or developers is quite frequent in the field, situations like these continue to be one of the most stressful tasks faced by programmers. In those cases previous experience with similar situations may prove to be an invaluable asset.

Our team has taken over and successfully delivered results in development projects handed over to us both in planned and unplanned situations. While working together with previous developers provides beneficial overview of the goals already achieved and potential pitfalls already identified, it is possible to continue the work without any previous knowledge as well – creating the documentation and setting up development best practices while reverse-engineering the unfinished product.

Previous experience shows that when the product, service or software is already in use, rewriting the code from scratch can be the single worst strategic mistake. Before writing off the previous work, consult us for a neutral review.
